On June 3, 2023, a reported discharge of 500 bbls of crude oil from a surface impoundment due to failure of the earthen retaining wall into an unnamed creek within the facility was reported to the NRC, NRC# 1369011. The discharge entered an unnamed dry creek for approximately 2 miles before entering Ninemile Creek for approximately 0.3 miles. An updated amount was reported on June 20, 2023 of an estimated 4,000 bbls of crude oil discharged. Of that, an estimated 10 bbls of crude oil left the site through an unnamed dry creek (1 mile), and less than 2 bbls of crude oil impacted Ninemile Creek (0.3 mile). The site is located at the Nemaha Environmental Services at 5320 W Keowee Rd, Kremlin, OK 73753 (Latitude 36.5501297, Longitude -97.9423896), the RP has been identified at Nemaha Environmental Services.
