Acute Exposure Guideline Levels (AEGL)
Describes the dangers to humans resulting from short-term exposure to airborne chemicals. Guidelines are developed to help both federal and local authorities, as well as private companies, deal with emergencies involving spills, or other accidental exposures.

The Hazardous Waste Cleanup Information site, sponsored by EPA's Technology Innovation Office, provides extensive information about innovative treatment technologies and other resources for the hazardous waste cleanup community.

This Internet site provides several resources for OSCs, including recent publications, a list of available videotapes, contacts, and several databases.

EPA Oil Spill Program
This site provides information on reporting, preventing, preparing for, and responding to oil spills. It also provides informatioin on laws and regulations pertaining to oil and SPCC publications.

ERT Monitoring and Analytical Equipment and Capabilities for Pre-deployments.
This document provides a list of available ERT monitoring and analytical equipment. It includes a brief description of each piece of equipment and addresses its operation, use and effectiveness. A quick reference table is also included.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
This site provides information on public health, disease, and data and statistics.

National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID)
This site, also part of the CDC, provides information on such topics as bioterrorism, preventing emerging infectious diseases, and research currently underway at CDC.

Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)
This site contains information about hazardous substances. The Internet HazDat Database is located on this site and provides specific site and contaminant data.

National Toxicology Program (NTP)
The coordinated toxicology research and testing activities by the Secretary of Health and Human Services Department is used to provide information about potentially toxic chemicals to regulatory and research agencies and the public and to strengthen the science base in toxicology

This links to the General Services Administration site that provides many services related to government policy and regulations.

National Response Team (NRT)
This site is designed for OSCs and other environmental professionals involved in hazardous materials and oil management. The site provides links to the Regional Response Teams and the National Response Center.
